Where in the world are those stinking Myers'...

I am wondering if anyone ever even checks this anymore, however, I loved posting on it while Tennyson was in the NICU and following and used it as such a time to pour out my heart. I am thinking entering this season that I need that once again. This school year is already underway and not quite what I was expecting honelsely. I thought iw as going to be so much easier than last year since this is my second year, however, that I have found is not necessarily the case.

Travis is entering his second semester at Missouri Western State University studying something undecided at this time, though I think he's leaning towards Nursing...yeah!! I think he loves orthopedics and would do wonderfully with that. He is still working for Kenny Wells with Wells Farms full time which is going to be quite taxing for him I believe considering that he is doing that while he's also taking Spanish, Chemistry and Biology, YIKES!!

I am starting my second year of teaching business at Union Star R-II School. The schedule and things have changed greatly from one year to the next. The softball season is still off and running, and we're getting into the full swing of things. Yearbook sales are underway and the FBLA chapter is ramping up for their first big event of the year, the Union Star Fall Festival, where they entertain with a dunk tank, pie in the face booth,a ndd face painting booth. I am also taking eight hour of graduate credit throught NWMSU, actually I am sitting in class now, so if parts of this don't make sense, there's my excuse.

Tennyson is growing like a weed. Loving his life, spending as much time as possible with his nana and papa and granny and poppie. He spends his days with Lisa Guyer and the kiddos she watches, and they are teaching and learning tons from each other. We're working on opposites, days of the week, and of course the numbers and letters. He is also preparing for his third birthday and has decided he wants to have a Monster Truck party featuring "Grave Digger." I can't wait until it's all here and we're able to really celebrate! He's also doing great with potty training, he's been such a big boy in terms of the "potty" portion, have been for months, but we're still working on the other though he's getting better.

Ryan's football season is underway, and he's loving being a part of the team even though they haven't been overly successful thus far this year, but he sure loves the game. He hopes one day to attend NWMSU and study history education and coach football when he's older. I think that's such a great aspiration.

Stephanie is working as an Accountant for a firm in St. Joseph, and they love her and know they wouldn't be able to succeed without her. She and Chase and the boys are doing great. Brazon started Kindergarten at East Buchanan this school year and he's having a great time with the kiddos, though we're sad his Homecoming and ours are the same day so he'll miss our parade, we were going to have them participate on the FBLA float for the parade. I will post pictures when I have them.

Kelsey has started back to college at North Central Missouri College in Trenton, working on her gerneal studies and she hopes to take that to Missouri Western to study education later. Paxton is coming upon his first birthday party and everyone is so excited for his party this weekend. I hate that the US Softball tournament will be taking place at that time so I won't be able to attend. I will again post pictures when I have them.

Tyler and Jenny were back this past weekend for vacation, they had a whirlwind trip and Journey was totally off schedule, but as cute as a button. We had such a great time celebrating with them over this holiday weekend. We spent time out at the Savannah Lake Club at Grandma and Grandpa Newkirk's camper and Tennyson, Tyler and Ted were able to take in a turn in the kyaks on the water.

Trudy is a RA at Central Christian College of the Bible, having a blast hanging with the girls. She spent the summer traveling all over the country leading camps or trips for youth. She had a great time and built fabulous relationships.

We're so very, very blessed in all that the Lord has blessed us with, however, recently we were able to "adopt" a World Vision child Banji who was born September 3, 2007. He is from Zambia and is a Hope Child meaning his parents both suffer with AIDS. So please pray for us as we learn more about him and their family, and help us to know how and what to provide for their family.

So all in all everyone is great, we're keeping on...keeping on.

Love you all,
Travis, Lindsay & Tennyson
